Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Versepond website and products (Versepond Hymnals and future lines), together the “Services”, provided by Versepond (a sole proprietorship registered in Kenya, “Versepond”, “we”, “us”). By using the Services you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Your account
- One Versepond account gives you access across Versepond products. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
- You must be at least 16 (or have parental/guardian consent where required).
- You may sign in with email or a supported provider (e.g. Google). You agree the information you provide is accurate.
2. Licence to use the Services
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
3. Content & intellectual property
- The Services and their content (software, design, text, audio, and compilations) are owned by Versepond or its licensors and protected by law.
- Hymn and related content is provided on the basis of public-domain hymn texts and tunes and/or content used with permission, together with original transcriptions, engravings, and arrangements created by Versepond. You may use it within the Services for personal worship/study; you may not redistribute, resell, or extract it except as the Services expressly allow.
- Your content: content you create (e.g. favorites, notes, backups) remains yours; you grant us a licence to host and process it solely to provide the Services.
- Copyright complaints: if you believe content infringes your rights, contact mutzintl@gmail.com with details and we will respond in line with applicable law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services; reverse engineer or circumvent security or entitlement controls; scrape or bulk-extract content; infringe others’ rights; or use the Services unlawfully.
5. Subscriptions & payments
Some features require a paid subscription. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the Subscription & Refund Terms, which form part of these Terms. Entitlements are tied to your account and may be honored across Versepond surfaces (e.g. web and app) for the same account.
6. Advertising
The Services may display advertising. Ads may be provided by third parties subject to their own terms and policies.
7. Changes to the Services
We may add, change, or discontinue features. We aim to avoid breaking existing functionality but do not guarantee any feature will remain available.
8. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Kenya, Versepond will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Services.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where required by law.
11. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes are subject to the courts of Nairobi, Kenya, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change and, for material changes, we will provide notice. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
