Account Deletion & Your Data
Effective date: 2026-07-21 · Last updated: 2026-07-21
This page explains how to delete your Versepond account and request a copy of your data. It applies across all Versepond products tied to your one account. (A quick-access version lives at versepond.com/delete-account — the account/data-deletion link we provide on the Google Play Store.)
1. How to delete your account
You can request deletion in either of these ways:
- In the app or your account page: sign in and use Account → Delete Account.
- By email: contact mutzintl@gmail.com (or call/WhatsApp +254 118 701280) from the email on your account, with the subject “Delete my Versepond account”.
2. What gets deleted
When your deletion request is processed, we delete or anonymize:
- your Versepond account and profile (email, sign-in identifiers, internal user ID);
- your entitlement/subscription records held against your account;
- content you created and stored with us (e.g. favorites, backups).
Purchase and transaction records held by Google Play for purchases made through the Play Store are governed by Google’s own policies and are not ours to delete.
3. What we may retain
We may retain limited data where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes, for the period required by law: billing and transaction records retained for tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes, for as long as applicable law requires, then deleted.
4. Timeline
Deletions initiated in the app take effect immediately. We action verified email deletion requests promptly and complete them within 30 days. Backups are purged on our standard backup-rotation cycle thereafter.
5. Export a copy of your data
To request a copy of your personal data, contact mutzintl@gmail.com. We will verify your identity and provide your data in a portable format, subject to applicable law.
